Original Model 1898 Springfield Krag Rifle Complete Rear Sight, Unaltered (Still has squared corners on the head).

This is the earliest possible M1898 Rear Sight. It has all of the rarest parts.

A minty unaltered head, the ladder is smooth on both sides which goes along with the slide that is without the plunger used on the later models ( you can see this in the photo as it does not have the hole where the plunger shaft pokes through.

The knob for the slide is without the slot added later. Those 4 parts are the hardest parts to find on a 98 sight.

Right now I only have 2 of these available. The Excellent Condition one is almost Minty but for the ladder neck which has no blue left. The rest of the parts are near mint condition.

The Good Condition one has no original blue left and is in typical field used condition.
